The Valley of Columbus, in conjunction with the Supreme Council Charities, works to see that children of 32nd Degree Masons, and active members, receive financial assistance to complete their education. One of the basic tenets of our beliefs is that people can reason together to solve problems and thus be better in serving ourselves, our family and our community. Education is an important tool to help us achieve our fullest potential.

The Valley of Columbus Scholarship Program was begun in 1986 and since that time over $752,706.00 has been awarded. Scholarships are paid directly to the student. Last year, the Valley of Columbus awarded a total of $28,600.00 in financial assistance.

Each spring the Scholarship Committee for the Valley of Columbus meets to determine who will receive funds for the coming academic year. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of the Scholarship Program (see above). It is important for the applicant to complete the application and to follow the written instructions. Each year some applicants are not considered because they fail to follow the instructions about what is needed to complete the process.

CONTINUING for adult members not pursuing a 4-year degree or Associate Degree - Additional funds have been made available for adult 32nd Degree Masons in the Valley of Columbus that wish to obtain a technical certification or work credential. A separate application is available (see link below) which requires proof of enrollment in an accredited training program that will result in CDUs, PDUs, IT or trade certification, or work credential upon completion. These funds are limited and will be considered on a financial need basis and in the order received. Applications are due by December 1, 2024.
